Visiting Faculty
The program directors are supplemented by visiting faculty who go to Eritrea for a period of two to six weeks, depending on availability. Visiting faculty members provide didactic teaching in the form of seminars, grand rounds, conferences, and demonstration of procedures to medical students and residents. They also provide clinical teaching by conducting rounds and supervising residents and medical students. Visiting faculty members will also attend outpatient general and/or subspecialty clinics and participate in the evaluation of trainees. They may also assist in establishing diagnostic and treatment protocols.
